The release of GPT-4 by OpenAI, a San Francisco-based startup, has sparked a wave of excitement and fear about the potential of generative AI to revolutionize how we work and create. 

This new version of the technology is a quantum leap in capability from its predecessor, GPT-2, and is said to have the power to improve how people learn new languages, how blind people process images, and even how we do our taxes. 

OpenAI also made the claim that the new model supports a chatbot that is more factual, creative, and concise, as well as being able to understand images instead of just text. Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, declared GPT-4 to be “our most capable and aligned model yet.” 

He also warned that “it is still flawed, still limited, and it still seems more impressive on first use than it does after you spend more time with it.”
